So, this.

Okay, first and foremost, I'm not posting this to create unnecessary drama. I already have tons of that in RL to last me a life time so I'm going to make this simple.

HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO FUCKING SHAMELESS, REALLY?

Okay, let me explain.

Yesterday, some kind soul (

sushi4ever) messaged me in Twitter saying that a friend of hers told her to tell me that some shameless and obviously careless page in FB has posted the PV that we have shared here on their page. She gave me the link and I saw them. I didn't know what to say, really.

I mean, come on, guys! Isn't it enough to post the videos in your page? Do you have to post the links too? I could have let the video posting go, it's fine, okay do what you want but CAN YOU NOT PUT THE COMMUNITY AT RISK BY PUTTING THE COMPLETE LINKS THERE? CAN YOU NOT, I DON'T KNOW, MASS PM YOUR MEMBERS TO GO TO FREAKING SEARCH ARASHIGOODIES IN LJ TO FIND THE POST THEMSELVES? I DIDN'T EVEN LOCK THE POST, FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

At the very least, I'm glad that there are people who cares enough to talk to these people who call themselves Arashi fans.

/sigh

So, I thought that was it? Apparently not.

Seriously, this isn't a subbing community and I don't enforce such strict rules regarding reposting or even make people sign up their first-borns just to be added here. I only ask for you to be discreet. I didn't even ask you guys to keep the files to yourself, because that's stupid. Of course you can share them, but not like this, not PUBLICLY because you know how it is with JE. But apparently, these people has a completely different notion about the dangers we are talking about.

How to stop this? Let me know. Someone told me to mass delete the members but I don't want to do that. It's just that, why can't we all get along, like, really? It's not even a rule to discreetly share the links, right? I'm trying to be careful here, guys, and I'm trying to single-handedly man this community for all of you. So why not help me by taking care of the community itself? I mean, if I wanted to put the files in public, I'll do it myself. I have my own freaking FB page, after all. But I didn't. Because I care about you guys and this community. Is that hard to understand?

Also, this was the reason why I didn't want to accept non-lj accounts. Still, you don't need an lj account to view most of the posts here, since most are PUBLIC. So, I don't know, tell me what I should do about this.

You should just make this as a closed membership community. I swear I hate people who are doing this thing, are they fucking stupid? I mean if they're giving out the links, we don't have any place to download or share arashi stuff *sighs* Sorry, I just hate it when this happens. They're making our life more complicated ._.

that's the thing I want to avoid, really. I know how hard it is to be a new fan and not know where to find files about the group, seriously. But we are supposed to be in this together, right? Some people just needs to understand that.

after all of those fan page being shut down on fb, can't they take this kind of matter seriously?

The "fear of johnnys rules" thing is so fucking bizarre. Do these people don't know what copyright is? Do they realize the reason JE exists and produces stuff is to earn money? Of course they'll go after anybody they notice is sharing their stuff for free... I hope these people are very young, because that's about the only excuse to be this stupid.

I know what they meant and that's the thing that upsets me most. I mean, you know the rules already, so why not just abide them? I didn't even want to put any of those rules here, because come on, even kids know how to follow rules, right? Just be freaking discreet. That's all I ask. I'm sure that's not hard enough to obey.

I am sorry this is happening to you, you definitely don't deserve that kind of treatment for your kindness.

Since you asked us what to do about it, I tried going through your page and the first thing I would recommend you is to maybe make a list of rules like you find in other communities (like don't upload our videos on other sites, don't mention us etc.), because maybe some people are not sure what is okay and what is not. I know I have recommended your page in a private message on Facebook, which seems to be okay with you? If not I of course apologize and promise not to do so again. But yeah maybe make a post with the guidelines or rules of your community, where you state, what you don't mind people doing, and what you don't want them to do.

I know it is a pain that you have to go through the extra work, but maybe it would help.

BTW if I saw correctly, then you don't have the Japonism concert uploaded, do you want me to give it to you? :)

Oh, but that's the thing I never want to put here. As I have mentioned previously, we are all supposed to be adults here, we already know what we should and shouldn't do. I never ask you guys for anything, I don't even care that you share the links around, because that's the purpose of this community, but there's a limit to what someone can and can't do. LJ accounts are starting to be suspended for no apparent reason and I'm afraid this community will be next. Think about all the stuff that new fans could have downloaded from here that they can't find anywhere? They won't be able to do that if this journal gets deleted.

This is shameless, honestly. We are just trying to enjoy Arashi peacefully and they are jeopardizing everything. It makes me really mad when people don't understand JE's restrictions. I am so incredibly thankful to you and the rest of the respectful members of this community. I am an international myself, from the South of Spain, where you can barely find anything related to Japan at all and I basically have to depend on Internet and extremely expensive shipping. So I should know well the struggle. Still, I keep quiet and enjoy discretly. It infuriates me that some new fans (not saying all of them but since Asian culture has become more popular now due to kpop -and I enjoy kpop too, though-) keep thinking they know everything. Just freaking inform yourselves before posting JE wherever you like. I am really sorry for this rant. I hope this doesn't happen again but thank you so so so much for all your hard work.

Thanks. I do hope for everyone to understand that I'm doing this for all of us. I recommend sharing the links, just not that way. It's just so careless, like we are mocking JE to find us. /sigh

I've added another version in the original post, unmarked, and those I urge them to post. Just not to link their post to this entry, if they could help it. I hope they find it.

I swear I don't know what else to do, if I'm still not accomodating enough.

I fear there's nothing really to prevent this from happening again. Even in closed comms with strict rules this has happened, so that doesn't help. Rather it gives some a "reason" b/c all comms are locked and they just want to share~~
I'm especially annoyed at their reply and reasoning. "I know you'd've said 'no', so I did it without asking"?!?! What's that for a poor excuse?
But at least they took it down eventually, though I'm sure you could've lived without the hassle.

I just realized how scary it is, BB. I mean, I'm not saying that what I'm doing is harder than what our amazing subbers are doing but it's still upsetting enough to think that the community - and every stuff posted here for all and new fans to enjoy - are going to end up in dust if JE finds us.

I swear she could have just asked me and I could have told her the alternatives, what she could do, what files she could upload. But the thing is they just went ahead and did what they wanted anyway. Which was really upsetting.

i feel sorry for the behaviour of some people. i want to believe that they don't represent the majority of our fandom but the truth is rulebreakers are everywhere. this is your comm and you are free to do whatever you want with it. thanks for your generosity and your hard work. hopefully the issue will be resolved peacefully

It is so upsetting whenever this kind of thing happens. I mean, it's already so easy to join the comm and get the files for ourselves, what more do they ask for? What's worse is they KNOW it's wrong to share it publicly, yet still have the guts to do it anyway. These kind of "fans" are the worst, really. If they're so kind and nice and willing to "take the risk", why don't they rip and share their own copy?? Gosh, I'm so mad!

The people who don't even understand about Japan rules is probably a newbie.
basic ly its start from Johnnys Rules and then Japan Copyright.

Do you know why porn in Japan is cencored, but when shooting at outside Japan is uncencored?
Do you know why Johnny rarely make his talent International Debut, or even International Selling?
and Why AKB48 only in Japan, but making the Sisterhood in JKT48?

they strict to the Japan Copyright rules.

The last one was really stubborn and annoying.
This made me really angry seeing this post. They really dont know the biggest risk they could've done by posting those stupid posts so openly!

Anyway i really appreciate your work and your time for giving us (members of this comm who know the risk, of course) such a great posts.

Once again i'm really sorry to know this kind of fans exist.

she have to know how reckless her move was? she's not mature enough I guess?
we are all fans for JE since a young age so we should all know how dangerous it is
and it is even worse now than before!! what fear? oh come on that is just so stupid
u don't want to live in fear but it's okay to put many people in danger?
what she did could lead easily to be arrested for illegal post! she doesn't know the real fear if this really happened ><

I've seen this keep happening on and on for now. Why can't somebody just respect the damn rules? It's not that hard. You already make it easier for new fan to reach arashi and yet those selfish people choose to jeopardize your community *and maybe the entire arashi community* just for 'don't want to be in dictatorship'? There's a reason why the rules are made.
They have taken it down for now but who knows what will they do in the future.

If they wanna share stuff publicly, they should only do it if it's they ripped their own copy and put themselves only at risk. Why risk other people getting involved? Smh.

I'm sorry that this happened to you, ate.
All the said things above are true, they don't believe how strict Japan is when it comes to copyright because I'm pretty sure most of them belong to those fandoms where artists are english speakers thus less restrictions.
I was culture shocked at first at how different the JE fandoms are compared to ex. Sheeran, Goulding, etc.
I just skimmed thru their replies because it will make me angry. Seriously this people! Gosh! You're running this comm alone and tolerates other people's shit when you are not really obligated to do so then they will repay you with this?
I'm still considered very new to this fandom so comms like yours is like the ultimate haven for Arashi content.
Masyado kang naging mabait kaya inabuso na nila. :( Hindi sa nilalahat ko sila pero kahit nung super active pa ako sa Ed S. fandom, sila na talaga ung problema. Sila yung hinahabol naming malalaking tumblr accounts para magtagal ng content dahil minsan sumusulpot din ung mga copyright notices dun.

You've already closed the application for members so maybe locked all the posts now? Maybe you have done it already but I really can't think of any suggestion. Sorry, ate.
Please please don't delete this comm. I remember doing my best to reach this other comms' requirement then it shut down because of rule violations. I'm still heartbroken.

I don't want to hear them talk about feeling free to love Arashi when they are precisely the reasons that our so-called freedom is being compromised.

Besides, MANY of us here are considered as "foreign fans" as well. It is no excuse for such behaviour. Why is it that we can follow the rules and they can't?

This was never about being exclusive or anything- membership on arashigoodies was almost impossibly easy. Just a comment and a click of the "Join" button before waiting for approval. Just how easy were they hoping this would be? >.> (And your post was not even locked too! >.>)

Some people don't learn, unfortunately. We can only stay united as a community and keep a fierce lookout for buggers like these ><
